Until Karen started her Town Planner business, she considered herself a “jack of all trades,” not sure of what she “really wanted to be when she grew up.”

She’d been a stay at home Mom for about 10 years. She even tried her hand at a children’s book store. She had to close it after a couple of years – a recession set in, and adversely impacted her business. But that experience really got her to understand herself, and what she enjoyed doing most: meeting people.

Today, she runs Town Planner, a direct community calendar. And she spends a great deal of time talking with business owners about advertising in the Town Planner. She’s very comfortable talking with people - even loves talking to strangers and doing cold calls.
